I totally agree, the 2B is a powerhouse of pleasure or pain.

Newbie here and in the minority it seems. I have a 2B and I am a bit disappointed with it. I'm not a huge fan of the signal "leveling" that it does. I wish there was a way to remove this feature. Otherwise, it is a fun device to play with.
It was my search for a better option that actually led me here though.

Hi and welcome. The 2B wasn't designed to process stereostim files as the designers made to process music as an input and the vast changes in volume and tempo in music means the signal processing is designed to prevent any nasty surprises. Work is underway on a new version of the firmware and that has several maps for the audio capability that gives a different feel to the version installed on retail boxes.
You can get access to the beta version of the firmware through the E-Stim Systems forum where there is a developers section. I rarely use audio and mainly use the inbuilt routines so for me, it is a fantastic box but if you are looking for the ability to enjoy stereostim files it has its drawbacks as you already know.

ET312. I have a 232 that I like as well. I liked the PES unit at first but the power is lacking

The 312 is a very nice control box with lots of power.

I miss my 2B, which was my pride and joy before it was kidnapped.
I currently just have an electrastim flick that I bought at the beginning of covid lockdown because pleasure is a necessity and my flatmates needed to not be subjected to my tantrums.
I do have to say that for all it is tiny and low on features/multi area stimulation it still does the trick remarkably well as a starter unit or interim purchase.

I own a BTstim, a 2B, an Axis, a Coyote, and a couple of homemade controllers. I haven't used the homemade ones in years, so I won't even critique them. Out of the 4 boxes I have, I list them in order of most frequently used to least. #1 is the Axis, #2 is the Coyote, #3 is BTstim, and last is the 2B. Why this order? I only use stereostim audio files. The built in routines are just not pleasurable for more than a minute or two. I need the variety that stim files provide
The 2B is dead last because it doesn't do stim files well at all.
The Axis is number one because it does Stereostim files very well, it's powerful enough, it's small and battery powered with good battery life which allows me to be fully mobile while stimming.
The Coyote is only useful when used with Xtoys app on my phone. I often exhaust the battery on the Coyote, although it will usually go about an hour and a half. It is very pleasureable to use and would be much improved with a longer battery life.
The BTstim works wonderfully with the stim files, but I'm tethered to one spot while using it, which doesn't work for me.
I would recommend the Coyote for it's affordability and usefulness to anyone. At $125 it's the most affordable stim controller I've found that is worth using.
