The only change so far is to move the Pulse 1 and Pulse 2 signals over to D8 and D9 as these are both on the same port (PORT B) of the microcontroller. This allows for simultaneous switching of the two pins by writing directly to the port ( PORTB = B00000001 etc).

My 312B is very poorly, could i replace the insides with the MK-312BT components without modding the case?

Hi chasstimmer, I ahd thought I answered it but I must have buggered something.
What is wrong with your 312B? If you are in the US then I can direct you to an individual that is excellent in repairing these and at a very reasonable cost.

The MK will not fit into the B case. The recommended case for the KM is only around $16 if you want to go that route. Personally I would look into getting your 312B repaired.

I am in UK...... there is a crossover between chan A and B, also the "audio in" led's are illuminated without any input, furthermore it feels very "spikey" on audio 3.

I would like to build a MK box, but not sure how easy it is from the UK for parts, the online digrams appear to have been deleted.
